The next day, Amilia sobered up but she did not remember anything she had said. Kazuma, Allen and Yuuji decided to act dumb and to never mention anything to Amilia.
Rising up to its name the fast-boat did not disappoint. The two days that followed were calm and uneventful.
As they neared Denki, they were able to see land.
“Attention, everyone! We’re approaching Denki. The ship will only stop for a day, so please pack up fast!” Some of the crew members shouted.
Hearing this Yuuji was thankful they didn’t pack much as a ton of bags would be a pain to walk around with.
2 hours later the ship finally arrived at deck.
“Let’s find a nearby inn to get some rest before we head to the capital.” Allen suggested as he looked at the exhausted Amilia.
As for Allen, Kazuma and Yuuji were stronger than the average human, they didn’t feel exhausted. But Kazuma and Yuuji agreed.
After talking to some locals they easily found a nearby inn. The walk took around 5 minutes, but as they entered they noticed an old man who looked to be around 80-90 standing at the counter.
“Welcome travelers, how can I help you?” The old man welcomed the group.
“We want to book 4 rooms for tonight.” Allen responded while walking towards the counter.
“Well, you’re very lucky. I only have 4 rooms available. Here are the keys.” The old man said as he pulled out 4 keys. “Oh, and don’t worry about paying, I don’t charge travelers from across the ocean.”
“Thank you, sir” Allen nodded as he took the keys.
Allen gave everyone their key, and they proceeded to enter their rooms.
“Where… am I?” Yuuji mumbled as he rubbed his eyes. He had suddenly found himself in a white room that had a thick mist all over.
A vivid noise was the only sound that could be heard. The noise was as if someone was eating. Following the noise, Yuuji found a person eating fruit.
“Hm… Aren’t ya that kid that was with the wind kid I met in the forest?” The person said as he glanced at Yuuji. “His name was Alex? Or was it Albert…”

Looking at the person with confusion, he couldn’t remember whose voice it was.
“Maaan, yer lame you don’ even remember me huh?” Well, I’m gojo! Spirit gojo!” Gojo exclaimed as he noticed Yuuji couldn’t remember him
“B-But aren’t you a squirrel?!” Yuuji exclaimed as he was shocked to hear that.
“In what world can a squirrel talk exactly?!”
“In any case, This is my spirit form. What do ye think?”
Yuuji looked at Gojo still shocked but has now gained some of his composure back
“I think you look pretty cool but surely you didn’t just come to show how you look right?”
Gojo looked at Yuuji with a prideful look on his face “Hmph! Of course I didn’ just show up for how I look! Afterall I’m a busy spirit. Anyways, I would like to sign a contract with you.”
Yuuji looked confused upon hearing that. It’s something no one ever mentioned to him that there are spirits and even more that they can sign contracts. Still, He tried to remain calm and avoid any traps or tricks as much as possible
“And what are the terms for the contract you’re talking about?” Yuuji asked with a serious look.
Gojo grinned as he thought about how smart Yuuji was “Well, it’s somethin’ I think ye’ll need.”
Gojo waved his hand, and a paper appeared out of thin air.
“Read carefully,” Gojo said before letting Yuuji read it.
The contract stated three terms and it was as follows
1- Yuuji gets to ask about anything in this world and Gojo will have to answer
2- Gojo cannot answer directly and can’t give an obvious answer
3- Yuuji gets 2 questions per week
Yuuji noticed a few words written in a small font. It said, “This contract can only be broken by death.. You must not tell the human about this part as it can be an exploit to the contract”
Yuuji looked at Gojo who was smirking, ready to lie about the small print.Yuuji decided to act oblivious to it.
“So, Are ye gonna sign it?”
“Yes, I will sign it”
Gojo's smirk got even bigger, he then proceeded to chant a spell. "The contract is now ready for signing'." Gojo said as he handed the contract and a feather to Yuuji. Yuuji then proceeded to sign the paper, afterwards the paper began to burn with a blue flame. "Now, ye can wake up again." Gojo said before Yuuji found himself at the inn again.
