Missing (2)

Some time has passed since Allen and Kazuma went out to search for the woman's son. They currently were in a nearby forest, Kazuma was sitting in a tree, watching Allen who was looking at the tracks on the ground.

"They have to be nearby, these tracks don't look to be old." Allen mumbled. "Hey kazuma! Let's look around they aren't too far from here." Allen hollered at Kazuma. Kazuma jumped off the branch and landed on the ground.

Shortly, the duo went off in the direction of the tracks.

An unknown amount of time later, they stopped when the tracks lead to a camp. There were 4 tents propped up, a campfire that was put out and 5 figures stood around.

"5 of them... not bad, thankfully they don't look to be strong." Allen mumbled to himself. "Hey, Kazuma do you see where they might have the missing kid?"

Kazuma shook his head. "Alright then!" Allen said before creating a bow. "Let's get some information from them!" He grinned as he nocked an arrow.

Kazuma nodded as he unsheathed his sword. Allen aimed towards the furthest target.

"Hey how many more people do we go-" One of the people said with a groan. Suddenly a whistling sound wizzed past them which cut them off.

"ACK-" A pained voice yelped out, the others looked towards the sound. One of their members was on the ground with an arrow deeply stuck in his shoulder.

"WE'RE UNDER ATTA-" One of them shouted before getting cut off by an arrow hitting him.

The rest of them took out their weapons then faced the direction the arrows were coming from.

A hooded figure rushed out and sprinted towards them. The closest person took a defensive stance.

However the figure stood no chance as Kazuma swiftly knocked them out.

"This is gonna be easier than I thought." Kazuma mumbled to himself.

"DIE YOU BASTARD!" Another hooded figure rushed at Kazuma with a spear in their hands. The spear was held in a way they would run Kazuma cleanly through.

However instead of the former happening, Kazuma quickly stepped to the side and knocked the figure out.

Kazuma looked towards the last figure, when their eyes met they began to run away.

Kazuma sighed before walking towards their direction. Not even a moment later a whistle ramg through the air and the figure fell down as an arrow made of water cleanly pierced through one of their legs.

"W-w-wait pleas-" The figure began to plead to Kazuma as he got to them. Before they could finish their sentence he knocked them out with a punch to the temple.

"That was easier than expected!" Allen exclaimed as he left his cover.

Kazuma nodded his head after hearing him. "I'll tie these guys up, go and interrogate one of the people you shot." He said as he began to drag the unconscious body he was near.

"Alright!" Allen said.

He walked to the nearest figure that was on the ground. An arrow was stuck in their left shoulder and a sword was laying on the same side.

"Hey, you still conscious?" Allen asked as he crouched in front of the figure.

The hooded figure raised his head to see who was talking. "CHAOS?! YOU TRAITOR" The hooded figure shouted as he recognized Allen.

Allen looked at the figure with a serious expression. "Why are you kidnapping people?" Allen asked while ignoring being called a traitor.

"I'll never tell a traitorous bastard like you!" The hooded figure exclaimed as he tried to grab his weapon with his good arm.

Allen quickly stomped on his arm before he could grab it. There was a snap that was followed up by a blood scream as Allen stomped on his arm.

Creating a dagger, Allen put it up to the neck of the person as they were screaming. It took a moment for the person to comprehend what was happening before they stopped screaming.

"Now, tell me why are you kidnapping people?" Allen asked in a chilling voice. The person looked in Allens eyes before responding.

"I... will... never tell a traitorous bastard like you." The person said in a low voice.

"Are you sure you want those to be your last words...?" Allen asked while pushing the dagger further in. Blood seaped through wound as the flesh was being cut.

"You can kill me, you won't get the answers you need."

Allen sighed while taking removing the dagger from the man's neck. "That's right, however we have others we can get answers from." Allen moved to the side to reveal 3 bound unconscious people.

"And this is probably not the best way to kill you." Allen said in a cold voice while lifting the dagger to eye level. "Hey kazuma, do you have any w-" Allen was cut off by the sound of bones being crushed.

Turning to the source of the noise they could see another person lying on their back and their arms bending in odd directions. And Kazuma standing above them with a look that could send fear in anyones hearts.

"PLEASE LET ME GO! I WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING!" The person pleaded.

Instead of listening to the persons pleading, Kazuma stomped on one of the persons legs.

A loud snap could be heard followed by a blood curdling scream.

"You talk about letting you go, but you don't mind kidnapping and killing people. We won't need the information from you. We have other people we can interrogate." Kazuma explained slowly as he unsheathed his sword.

Before the person could plead again, Kazuma cut their head off in one swift motion.

'This guy... He talks about being rational but look at him." Allen inwardly thought with shock from Kazumas actions.

Allen took a deep breath before saying anything. "So..." He looked at the man he was interrogating. "If you tell us what you were doing, we'll give you a quick death. If you don't, I'll let him handle you." Allen said while pointing towards Kazuma.

The man gulped while sweat went down his face. "Alright, alright! Just don't let him near me!" The man exclaimed. "We were kidnapping people to weaken the defense of Suijin, and once the defense is at its lowest we were going to raid it."

'I wouldn't let him near me either..." Allen thought while listening to the man. "Why would you do that? You already have Athena infiltrating. She is strong enough to take care of it." Allen said after listening.

"Yes! Lady Athena does, but the organization has doubts about her."

Allen looked at the man with slightly raised eyebrows. "What are their doubts?"

"I have no idea."

"Then why is Athena infiltrating?"

"I have no idea."

"Hey Kazuma he doesn't want to give us more i-" Allen motioned to Kazuma to come over.

"W-W-WAIT WE WERE PLANNING ON HAVING LADY ATHENA TO WITNESS HER PARENTS BEING KILLED AFTER WE GOT THE KEY! IF YOU WANT THE LOCATION OF THE BASE I'LL TELL YOU JUST DON'T LET HIM NEAR!" The man shrieked out.

"Y- what?" Allen let out in disbelief. "Wh-"

"Lady Athena isn't entirely loyal to the organization. They want to break and brainwash her to be loyal." The man said without taking a breath.
