Missing

"Don't you think it'd be better if we all went together?" Kazuma asked while looking back at Allen.

"Those two will be fine, and we shouldn't intrude on their little date." Allen responded while smirking. "Anyways, where should we go?"

"Alright." Kazuma shrugged. "First, let's start with the adventurer's guild, then we should ask around for information."

"You take the lead." Allen responded, soon after they looked around for the adventurer's guild.

"Doesn't look much different than the others." Allen noted, they stood in front of a massive building, that had a sign above the door way that read adventurer's guild.

Opening the door revealed an open area, multiple people were sitting around tables on the left side of the building, there was a carpet that lead to a counter, where a man with black hair and a black suit stood behind a counter.

"Greetings strangers, is there anything I can help you with?" The man greeted Allen and Kazuma as they neared the counter.

"Yes, has there been anything weird going on here?" Kazuma asked.

"What do you mean by weird?" The man behind the counter asked.

Kazuma gave Allen a look, signaling for him to speak.

"Has there been people going missing, or any incidents causing people to die?" Allen responded.

"Oh... Yes, there has been incidents like those." The man said. He then pointed to an area to his left. "There are requests on the board if you're interested."

Allen and kazuma thanked the man. Then they looked at the board the man gestured towards to.

"Hm.. Lets see..." Kazuma said as he read the first request.

<Cat went missing! He has black fur, green eyes and responds to Coco!>

'Not what we're looking for.' Kazuma thought to himself.

"Oh hey! Found something, Kazuma look at this." Allen exclaimed. Kazuma looked at the request Allen was holding.

<Wife went missing, if you find her, don't bring her back.>

Kazuma looked up at Allen like he was an idiot. "What?" Allen said with a smile.

"It sorta fits what we are looking for." Allen said while shrugging after seeing Kazuma was unamused.

"Keep looking." Kazuma said before looking back at the request board.

"Alright, alright." Allen said before doing the same.

Looking through the requests Kazuma finally found something.

<My son went missing a few days ago. We found his room empty in the morning. If anyone finds him, please bring him back! He has short blonde hair, and brown eyes.>

Kazuma took the request off the board and showed it to Allen.

"This might be worthwhile to check out." Allen said after reading it.

Kazuma nodded, and they both went to the man at the desk.

"Here, we'd like to take this request and here are our plates." Kazuma said while handing the man the paper and his adventurer's plate. Allen handed the man his plate too.

"Hm. Alright, here you go." The man handed the request and plates back. "The person who made the request told me she lives in a blue house down the street." The man said.

The duo thanked the man then left.

Allen and kazuma walked down a dirt road, houses littered each side. Soon, they stopped in front of a blue house. Allen knocked on the front door, and a moment later the door was opened. A middle aged woman in a blue kimono stood in front of them. Her eyes were red like she was crying recently.

"H-Hello, is there anything I can help you with?" The woman asked in a shaky voice.

"We're here to talk about your request at the adventurer's guild." Allen responded while signaling to Kazuma to show the paper.

"Oh... Please come in so we can talk." The woman said hastily while moving to the side to let them in.

"Would you like anything to drink before we talk?" The woman offered when the duo entered the house.

The duo declined the offer. "Alright, please have a seat then.." The woman said while gesturing to table that had chairs facing each other.

"If I'm reading this right, you said he went missing before morning right?" Kazuma asked a few moments after he sat down. The woman nodded her head. "Was there any evidence that there was a break in, or anything?"

"N-No there wasn't, his bed was the same when we tucked him into bed."

"Did you notice any strange markings in the room?" Allen asked with a serious tone.

"Strange markings? I didn't see any..."

"Can we take a look then?" Allen asked.

Allen had a serious expression when Kazuma looked at him. "Do you think it's the-" He was beginning to ask before getting cut off.

"It's definitely them. This isn't a coincidence, or anything it's definitely them." Allen said to Kazuma.

"W-Who?" The woman asked in a scared tone.

"Nevermind that, can we please take a look in your son's room?" Allen asked.

"Y-Yes... but before you can, what are your names?" She asked.

"I'm Allen." Allen said before gesturing towards Kazuma. "This is Kazuma."

"Thank you sir Allen and sir Kazuma." The woman bowed to them.

"Thank us after we find your son."

Soon they entered the son's room. Kazuma left Allen to find any strange markings.

Not long after, Allen found something. 'I knew it. We have to talk to the leader of Suijin soon or this won't end well...' "Hey Kazuma! I found something, we have to get going now or we might not be able to find her son."

"Alright, let's get going then." Kazuma said in a calm tone. He looked towards the woman, and noticed she had a mortified expression with tears welling up in her eyes. "Don't worry, we'll bring your son back soon." Kazuma said while patting her on the shoulder.

"Please, please find him, I beg of you!" The woman exclaimed while grabbing onto Kazuma's clothes.

"We will find him, I promise you that." Kazuma said in a confident voice. "Allen, let's go." He said after removing the woman's hands from his clothes.

The duo left in a hurry.
