“No.. No.. Don’t.. It hurts.. No..” a sleeping Lumi muttered before she suddenly woke up terrified.
Lumi took a minute to calm down, to only realize it was just a dream. She got up and looked outside her window. A few minutes later, a butler came in
“Miss Lumi, Her majesty and his majesty are waiting for you to begin breakfast” bowing while informing Lumi
“Ah. Thanks Zummer.” replied coldly like she usually would
After the incident with Kazuma and the devastating defeat she faced, Lumi became even colder than she already was. It was a big blow to her ego and to her curiosity which Yuuji kindly satisfied later on. She’s also been training more and more.
“I’m here your majesty” as Lumi entered the room she immediately put her hand on her chest bowing to the King and his daughter.
“Oh please sit down Lumi.” asked the King of Lumi
The king was really old and his daughter usually dealt with all the work of the kingdom leadership. His daughter was talented and for the people it felt like the king was the one dealing with the country’s problems not his daughter.
“Allow me then”
“Lumi, We witnessed how much you’ve been working on yourself and training and we’d like to help you out” The princess jumped straight to the point
“Your majesty, just me being able to stay at the royal palace and protect you and our king is the utmost help i could ask fo-”
As Lumi was talking the princess coughed a little, interrupting her in the middle.
“If you won’t accept it as help then it’s an order, Lumi. We’ve set the plan for who’s going to help you out with training. General Tia Krul from Denki.” said the princess with an assertive tone
“Understood, your majesty. When shall I take my leave?” replied Lumi with a slight hesitation
“You can go ahead after you finish your breakfast. We’ve made a tiny feast as a farewell gift.” The king spoke with a warm smile on his face
“Understood, sir”
After the breakfast Lumi headed to her room to get ready for leaving.
“Denki.. Wasn’t that where the lab was.. Where i grew up” a Lumi who’s lost in thought mumbled
Suddenly there was a knock on the door from Zummer. Lumi allowed him to enter the room.
“Miss. Lumi, The carriage is ready for you. Please, Tell us when you’re ready to leave”
“Thank you, Zummer. I’ll come with you right away.”
Zummer was tasked with escorting Lumi to the boat she'll be taking. so, they both got onto the carriage.
"Everything is set now. You can go ahead and start moving" Zummer instructed the driver
"Miss. Lumi, I sense some hesitance in you. It's rare to see you like this. Did something happen ?" Zummer asked with kindness and concern
"umm.. I-I'd prefer not to talk about it.." Lumi replied with some uncomfort in her voice
"I see. Miss. Lumi, if there's anything you feel like talking about I'll be your secrets bank of course as your personal butler and as a father figure." nodded Zummer while caressing his beard
The conversation continued with Zummer talking about stories of younger Lumi of when she first arrived at the royal palace, with Lumi feeling embarrassed of her past self.
This small conversation put Lumi’s mind slightly at ease. It didn’t take long until they arrived at the port.
“I’ll head off now. Thanks, Zummer”
“Take care, Miss. Lumi.”
At Wintervale and with the sun rising, Amilia was getting ready for the hangout with Yuuji. At the same time, Yuuji was also changing into his regular clothes. His regular clothes were the ones he came with from the other world. A blue long-sleeved shirt and track pants.
“Amilia told me to dress casually and to not put on any armor. I wonder what she’s thinking about” Yuuji wondered while putting on his shirt
“Well, I just need to wait just a little bit extra to know everything”
After Yuuji finished changing he headed to the living room. The room was empty since both Kazuma and Allen were sleeping in Arnold’s room.
A few minutes later Amilia came down the stairs from her room ready to head out.
Amilia was wearing a different outfit to what she usually wears. Instead of a white dress shirt with a blue bowtie, She was wearing a blue dress shirt without her bowtie. Her hair being down was a sight Yuuji wasn’t used to seeing.
“I-I tried to change it up a l-little. What do y-you think!” an embarrassed Amilia was unable to hide her shyness in front of Yuuji.
“You look beautiful!”
This reply from Yuuji made Amilia’s face become more red than it already was but at the same time it made her incredibly happy.
“Shall we head out, Amilia?”
“Yes!”
The two went around town checking shops, greeting children, helping elderly and talking about their adventures so far and how far they’ve gotten. This lasted until sunset came around.
“Yuuji”
“Yes ?”
“I- I really enjoyed hanging out with you today”
“Today was a lot of fun for me too. Thank you, Amilia!” Yuuji replied with a smile on his face
Yuuji’s smile is always pure. He never hides his feelings, his face gives it away. This smile was genuine and sincere.
“The past couple of months were really stressful but this, helped me a lot” Yuuji continuing
“Let’s keep doing our best, partner!”
A happy and embarrassed Amilia could only reply with a simple “Y-Yes!”
“Let’s head home, It’s getting late and we have a boat tomorrow.”
“Yes, Let’s head home!”
