Battle Against the Unknown (1)

‘I don’t remember much of what happened back then, but I remember the day I was recruited into the organization. Everyone seemed normal, you can say. Normal for who they are. The exception was this one girl. She looked younger than me, Had a mask covering her eyes and a ponytail. The mask looked worse for wear with a lot of cracks, but she didn’t seem too bothered by it. Those weren’t noteworthy facts, It was the fact that she had a massive room to herself. A room with giant dragons. I was shocked and scared, but the person giving me the tour didn’t seem all too bothered by it. The girl was flying in the air, purely with the power of her crystal. She descended and glared at me. I could tell she was unamused by my existence in her room but her face turned normal with a neutral expression and with a cold tone said “Hello.”’

Allen recalled as he was running without a break next to the rest of the crew.

Allen always had a smirk on his face when running, but this time he had an unusual serious face. Even Kazuma noticed but he decided to not comment on it.

With their plans in ruin and a battle queuing up, Yuuji ,whose face was incredibly sweaty from all the running by that point, couldn’t help but bring up the question “Who’s ‘Her’ you mentioned?”

“Someone scary enough to make me tremble in fear.” a frowning Allen replied “The one behind the two other dragons.” he then continued

Upon hearing this everyone picked up the pace even more

“Amilia, can you run faster?” Yuuji gesturing to Amilia to pick up the pace

“I.. Can’t.. This.. Is.. The fastest..” Amilia’s face looked exhausted already with her panting

“Allow me”

Yuuji didn’t wait for Amilia to give him permission, He picked her up and continued running

There was no time for feeling embarrassed or shy. They kept running until they were 200 meters away from the giant red dragon.

Above the dragon was a figure floating in the air menacingly.

A cracked mask. A ponytail. These two things were enough for Allen to get a flashback of when he first met her.

“It’s really her. Flamebringer.” Allen took out his bow and set himself in a ready position

“Pathetic. Truly Pathetic.” a cold tone echoed across the field.

The chaos happening didn’t just get our crew going, but also Tia

“Charlotte, Lumi, Get ready. We’re goin’ in” Tia said putting her hands on the desk in front of her

Both Charlotte and Lumi nodded in agreement

“Ye both need to be careful. We’re comin’ up against another dragon. It’s been nothin’ but dragons lately it’s pissin me off”

“Yes, general” Charlotte and Lumi said at the same time

Tia led the team running as fast as they could to the spot the dragon was at.

‘It’s going as planned. Those monkeys are just leaving the whole town to fight Flamebringer. Perfect.’ Mizuki looked outside one of the windows at the palace whilst rubbing his hands together.

Not before long the queen called out to him with a nervous tone

“What is it, My great shogun?”

“I-I just wanted to ask you.. I-is it possible that it’s a plan from those four that i invited here”

Mizuki looked at her with a smirk on his face “Of course, My lady. They’re trying to get revenge on you for ruining their plan”

“Ahaha.. Y-you’re as reliable as always Mizuki”

‘Just as planned. Perfect.’

It took Tia’s small party of three about 10 minutes to arrive at the scene.

Upon arrival they saw Yuuji, Amilia, Kazuma and Allen on one side and Flamebringer and her dragon on the other side. It looked like it was a stalemate position.

“Interesting.. So everyone came here.” Flamebringer said as she was looking at Tia’s party “Then I won’t need to redo introductions. I’m Flamebringer and this is your grave.”

The moment she finished her sentence the sky turned grey with massive clouds. With a single wave from her hand, The dragon started rushing at Yuuji’s party.

“O Almighty snow, Have mercy on us. Ice Shield!” Amilia Quickly cast a spell to block the attack from the dragon

The shield immediately broke but the dragon retreated back from the flying shards

“Are you going to stand watching ?” Amilia looked at everyone with a serious face

Everyone recomposed themselves. Now that new people came and they’re definitely not weak they can coordinate something together. At least, That’s what everyone thought.

This dragon was stronger than the previous one. It was much bigger and its abilities were completely unknown to our crew.

“Let the hunt begin.”
