Turning point

"Allen dear are you going to work ?"-said a what sounds like an older lady

"Yes, mom. What should i bring home today?"-said Allen smiling at his mother looking in an awful condition

"Just dinner for you and your two siblings i'll be fine"-said Allen's mom smiling at him

Allen was born in a poor family. They were nobles back then but after his father's death it all started going downhill. A thriving noble family turned in one night into a below poor family. Allen worked everywhere in every place possible to supply his family needs and pay off all the debts his father had. His father used to take loans from the local bank and never pay the debt, so it was all transferred onto his family.

"Oi idiot why are you a minute late"-it sounded like a grumpy middle aged man shouting

"half-salary today for being late and if you want to complain no salary at all. Dumb kid"-continued the middle aged man being even more rude and ruthless at the then 17 year old Allen

Allen endured all of this just for his little siblings. It didn't pay much but at least it was enough to bring the little ones some food to the table. He may have been 17 but he looked as if he was 27 from how much he worked himself to the bone.

"Endure it, Allen. Just a few more days and you'll be able to get in the army and it will all be better from there"-thought Allen to himself giving himself hope

Enlisting in the military would help him gain more money, money which will go immediately to his family without them having to care about his costs after all the military will provide him food and shelter so the money will go straight to his mother and two little siblings

A few days passed and Allen is now 18. It wasn't the grand celebration anyone would expect. Now he was ready to enlist in the military. Maybe it wasn't the best decision but at least his work will both pay off the debt and feed his family. At least that's what he hoped.

"Huh ? The heck is that name ? Einzberg ? That fucking idiot ? Listen kiddo are ye sure you want to enlist ? Those guys over there don't really like yer father"-said the recruitment officer

"Sir. yes, sir. I'm totally ready to enlist in the military"-said Allen sounding as determined as ever

"Pfft whatever hope ye don't regret it in the first day. Go grab yer clothes from H2. Get to dorm E4 room 472 and change. Yer roommate is called William Aldebaran. Enjoy yer time with him i guess"-replied the recruitment officer handing him an ID card

Immediately Allen headed to H2 to grab his military clothes. It wasn't fancy but it was better than a ribbed piece of cloth, That's what Allen thought of at least.

"Soldier show me your ID"-said the officer in H2

"Einzberg huh.. Listen kiddo nothing personal but, You'll be bullied by everyone here so get ready"-continued the officer after inspecting Allen's ID

After this small exchange Allen took his clothes and headed to his dorm room in E4. There he finds his roommate who looks at him with a serious face standing up looking as if he's about to knock him out

"State your identity, Trash"-said William

"My name is Allen. I'll be your roommate, Mr william."-said Allen replying nervously

William looked at Allen and bursted out laughing

"OH MY GOD HE FELL FOR IT BWAHAHAHA"-said William to his roommates that were hiding under their beds

"Kiddo, You're cute. Allen was it ? Welcome to room 472"-said one of the other roommates

Allen smiled nervously as he didn't know what was going on but he tried to enjoy his time with them on his first day

"What's your second name. Allen is too plain of a name"-said William going next to Allen putting his hand on his shoulder

"It's Allen Einzberg"

"Einz..berg"-a surprised William looked at Allen who was expecting some sort of bullying

"Lads, We're cool with it yeah ? don't want to hear a single damn bad word said about this lad. Welcome Einzberg"-said William looking at his roommates with a stern look on his face

"OF COURSE HE'S ONE OF US"-yelled all the roommates at once

"Alright. Now Allen my boy tell me. What made you enlist here. I enlisted because i was simply bored. That guy over there the bald one he enlisted because he wanted to challenge himself. That guy over there with the glasses he enlisted because he wanted to prove that people who have bad eyesight can still do some shit"-said William looking at two of the roommates

"Well.. i enlisted because we are very poor"-replied Allen looking down

"Woah woah why the sad face ? There's no shame in being poor or an ex-noble. The only shame in a man is his-"-said William only interrupted by some banging on the door

"Officer Lee here get yer butts over to the training ground now!"

"Sir, yes. sir!"-shouted everyone at once

"Psst once we're back to dorms i have a secret for you alright ?"-whispered William into Allen's ear
